We can't say enough good things about your house and the island. This has been our dream vacation. The house is gorgeous without being too overdone. The decorations and fixtures are really beautiful and reflect the beauty of the island. We hiked, swam, snorkeled and just sat in the sun and read. We ate at Skinny Legs, Donkey Diner, Miss Lucy's and Shipwreck Landing - everything was wonderful. We also cooked in a lot in your barbecue and in your well equipped kitchen. We LOVED Forts Cove. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a beautiful home. The landscaping is gorgeous and lush. The pool fantastically clean with very little chlorine. Great appliances in the kitchen. Nice TV and dish/internet options. Towels, beds, and linens were all very nice and plentiful. We loved the secluded location; there is a privately owned house next door but they weren't there and I understand aren't there often; additionally you can only see the other home from the driveway as the vegetation is dense. The view is simply spectacular, we didn't access the ocean as it was rough when we were there and we were in the water else where on the island all day BUT the pool next to the ocean is GREAT. Beautiful house and setting. We used and enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen - you had everything we needed. Kayaks were a treat. Board games provided good entertainment. Forts Cove is amazing. The beach right of the house is so cool the fish are the best. Shipwreck Landing has the best coconut shrimp and fish and chips. Miss Lucy's also has good food too. As our first trip to St John drew to a close, there are several stand-out places that must be mentioned. First, the snorkeling at Annaberg and right out the door! Rays, sharks, turtles and masses of fantastically colored fish. The food was wonderful - highly recommend Sweet Plantains, Skinny Legs, and the conch fritters at Vie's. The house was wonderful.

Wow what a vacation. We snorkeled at a different place every day - I'm exhausted! Both the breakfast and pizza at The Donkey Diner hit the spot, and the burgers at Skinny Legs are delicious.
